April 2, 2012 - April 6, 2012

Monday
·         Academic English 9 – Check vocabulary definitions; review definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocab. lesson 14B. Students will also read and discuss R. and J. Act 3, scene 1 together.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will review the study guide questions from Act 1 of “Hamlet” in small groups and as a class. When finished, students will finish watching the video of Act 1. Students will have a quiz on Act 1 on Wednesday.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will begin the next session on professional impact. Students will complete an ice breaker activity on professionalism and credibility. Students will also complete a credibility assessment handout and we will discuss the results together as a class.

Tuesday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will complete the study guide questions from Act 3, scene 1 in small groups and, as a class, we will discuss the responses to these questions. Students will then continue reading Act 3, scene 2 together out loud. Students will work on the study guide questions for homework.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will review for the quiz on Act 1 of Hamlet by playing a review game together as a class. Students will then begin reading Act 2 of the play together with assigned parts.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will complete the “Like” activity with a partner on likability and credibility. As a class, we will discuss each scenario and the results. Students will also complete the “impression skit” in groups. After the skit, students will complete the perception questions individually. As a class, we will discuss notes on perception vs. reality.

Wednesday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will take a quiz on Vocabulary lesson 14B and then define the terms for lesson 15A. Students will also be given the worksheet to complete for lesson 15A and write sentences for this lesson on their own. When finished, students will watch scenes from R. and J. Act 3, scenes 1 and 2 and finish reviewing the scene 2 study guide questions.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will take a quiz on Act 1 of Hamlet. When finished, students will continue reading Act 2 and they will work in small groups to complete the study guide questions.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will continue discussing notes on professionalism and they will complete several group activities on professional impact, professional behavior, perceptions, etc. Students will also complete a plan of action in order to apply the lessons learned throughout the professional impact section to their everyday lives.
