Monday
• English 7 – Review for final exam: Students will discuss any parts of the review packet/definitions sheet that they have questions about; Students will also begin to view the film, Lucas, about bullying and answer questions as they watch the movie

• PSSA English 9/10 – Even Day Groups - Students will read a short story by Edgar Allen Poe called “The Pit and the Pendulum.” They will read the story together as a class and discuss elements of the story as they read. Students will then complete questions based on the story when finished.

Tuesday
• English 7 – Review for final exam: Students will discuss any parts of the review packet/definitions sheet that they have questions about; Students will also begin to view the film, Lucas, about bullying and answer questions as they watch the movie

• PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Students will study for exams if time is needed to study/Also, if time permits, students will read three poems by William Wordsworth to discuss and analyze; students will also complete discussion questions for each poem

Friday
• English 7 – Study for final exams: Review for English exam by discussing and pairing up with a student to study the review packets that students completed

• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Final exams: students will study for final exams (students will also complete questions on the poems if not yet finished)

Monday
• English 7 – Review vocabulary packet #30 as a class; we will discuss the definitions, worksheet answers, and sample sentences for each word in unit 30; students will then continue to work on the extra credit packet assigned to them last week (extra credit is due tomorrow)

• PSSA English 9/10 – Odd Day Groups - Students will complete lesson 18 in the grade 11 PSSA book on analyzing literary structures; when finished, students will discuss the outcome of the lesson together as a class; students will then complete lesson 19 in the grade 11 PSSA book on analyzing setting; we will discuss this lesson as a class when students finish

Tuesday
• English 7 – Review for final exam – Students will work on defining terms as a review for the final exam; students will need to know the definitions of the various parts of speech and other terms related to them; students may also begin the review packet in preparation for the final exam

• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Students will complete lesson 18 in the grade 11 PSSA book on analyzing literary structures; when finished, students will discuss the outcome of the lesson together as a class; students will then complete lesson 19 in the grade 11 PSSA book on analyzing setting; we will discuss this lesson as a class when students finish

• English 7 – Review vocabulary lesson #30 by playing Jeopardy review game; students will also work in small groups on review packets for the final exam

• PSSA English 9/10 – Even Day Groups - Students will finish lesson 15 from the PSSA grade 11 book on analyzing characterization; as a class, we will discuss the elements of the lesson (p. 132-137); students will then complete lesson 16 in the PSSA book on analyzing dialogue and motivation (p. 138-143)

• English 7 – Finish notes on comma usage (p. 235); discuss and take notes on dates, addresses, and letters (punctuation – p. 238-239); practice exercises on worksheet

• PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Students will finish lesson 15 from the PSSA grade 11 book on analyzing characterization; as a class, we will discuss the elements of the lesson (p. 132-137); students will then complete lesson 16 in the PSSA book on analyzing dialogue and motivation (p. 138-143)

• English 7 – As a class, we will review the worksheet on direct quotations together; students will then take notes on titles and how to correctly write them; students will view examples and practice by completing a worksheet on titles; worksheet on titles due Tuesday

• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Students will complete lesson 18 in the grade 11 PSSA book on analyzing literary structures; when finished, students will discuss the outcome of the lesson together as a class

• English 7 – Review vocabulary packet for unit 28 – Students will review the definitions, worksheet, and sentences for the vocab. #28 packet; finish test on prepositions, conjunctions, interjections if necessary today for any students who did not finish yesterday
