  • Honors English 7 – Sentences (types, parts, fragments, run-ons, etc.) Group activity: teach a lesson on sentences.

 

  • Academic English 8 – Proper versus common nouns; activities 4 and 5 in packet

 

  • Honors Reading 7 – Reading survey; Groups will brainstorm and recall reading strategies that they already know. Discussion of reading strategies that will be used throughout the year.

Friday

  • Academic English 7 – Compound subjects and compound predicates and finding the subject (p. 43-47).

 

  • Honors English 7 – Sentences lesson project: students work in groups to work on their lesson.

 

  • Academic English 8 – Appositives – Activities 6, 7, 8

 

  • Honors Reading 7 – Introduction to RACERS strategy. Students will practice together responding to a prompt using the RACERS strategy. They will also read an article in class and apply the RACERS strategy to respond to a writing prompt
