Monday (03/18): Anne Frank – textbook, p. 194 – 198 (timeline). Review and discuss the timeline of events in the textbook. Students will then take the closure quizzes on concept vocabulary/word study and conventions/comparing text to media.
·         Study Island – Individual practice session on Meaning and Tone in Literature – due end of the day today.

Tuesday (03/19): Anne Frank – Act 2: work on study guide for test. Test is tomorrow on act 2. Review (Kahoot) and explore Anne Frank’s home (virtual tour).
·         Study Island – Individual practice on Cultural Literature – due tomorrow by end of day.

Wednesday (03/20): Selection test on Anne Frank – Act 2. When finished, students should work on Study Island topics.
·         Study Island – Individual practice on Cultural Literature – due today by end of day.

Thursday (03/21):  View film version of Anne Frank play. Compare/contrast the play to the film version in order to analyze different interpretations.
·         Study Island – Individual practice on Multiple meaning words – due tomorrow by end of day.

Friday (03/22): View film version of Anne Frank play. Compare/contrast the play to the film version in order to analyze different interpretations.
·         Study Island – Work on individual practice on Multiple Meaning words – due by end of the day today.

·         Study Island – Individual practice session (finish developing suspense and humor, if needed, and work on new topic: compare and contrast structures in literature – due by end of the day tomorrow.)

Tuesday (03/12): Read Act 2, scene 2. Discuss key parts as we read and annotate.
·         Study Island – Individual practice on compare and contrast structures in literature – due by end of the day today. Begin working on context clues in literature.

Wednesday (03/13): Read Act 2, scene 3. Discuss key parts as we read and annotate.
·         Study Island – Individual practice session on context clues in literature: due by end of the day tomorrow.

Thursday (03/14):  Read Act 2, scenes 4 and 5. Discuss key parts as we read and annotate.
·         Study Island – Finish context clues in literature: due today. Begin working on meaning and tone in literature: due by end of the day Monday.

Friday (03/15): Work on practice sections in the textbook and practice worksheets to prepare for the test on Act 2, which will be next week.
·         Study Island – Work on individual practice session on meaning and tone in literature: due Monday.
