Monday
  • Reading 8 (Odd): Students will discuss chapters 4-8 of “Hoot” together and students will turn in study guide sheets. Students will then read chapters 9-12 together. They must read up to and including chapter 12 for next class (Wednesday).

  •  Reading 7: Students will continue working on computers to complete their novel project for “Holes.” Projects are due on Friday, May 16th.

  • Practical Literature 12: Students will continue reading Act 3 of Macbeth together. They will also complete study guide questions for Act 3.

Tuesday
  • Reading 8 (Even): Students will discuss chapters 3-6 of “Hoot” together and students will turn in study guide sheets. Students will then read chapters 5-10 together. They must read up to and including chapter 10 for next class (Thursday).

  •  Reading 7: Students will continue working on computers to complete their novel project for “Holes.”



  • Practical Literature 12: Students will continue reading Act 3 of Macbeth together. They will also complete study guide questions for Act 3.


Wednesday
  • Reading 8 (Odd): Students will discuss chapters 9-12 of “Hoot” together and students will turn in their study guide sheets. As a class, we will also read chapters 13 – 16. Students must read up to and including chapter 16 for next class (Friday).

  • Reading 7: Students will work on computers in room 780 on their project for “Holes.”



  •  Practical Literature 12: Students will finish reading Act 3 of Macbeth and complete the study guide questions for Act 3. They will also review Act 3 in preparation for a quiz.


 Thursday
  • Reading 8 (Even): Students will discuss chapters 5 - 10 of “Hoot” together and students will turn in their study guide sheets. As a class, we will also read chapters 11 - 16. Students must read up to and including chapter 16 for next class (Monday).

  • Reading 7: Students will work on their “Holes” project on computers in room 780.

  • Practical Literature 12: Students will take a quiz on Act 3 of Macbeth today. They will then begin reading Act 4 of Macbeth and work on study guide questions for Act 4.

Friday
  • Reading 8 (Odd): Students will discuss chapters 13 – 16 of “Hoot” together and students will turn in their study guide sheets. Students will also read chapters 17 - 20. Students must read up to and including chapter 20 for next class (Tuesday).

  •  Reading 7: Students will work on their “Holes” project on computers in room 780. They must turn in their project by the end of class today.

  • Practical Literature 12: Students will continue reading Act 4 of Macbeth today. They will also complete and discuss study guide questions for Act 4.

Monday


  • Reading 8 (Even): Students in first period will discuss the review packet together. Poetry test will be on Wednesday for period 1 and they will work on their poems for the remainder of class time today. Poems for period 1 are due on Wednesday also. Periods 3 and 5 will take the test on poetry today and turn in their poems. They will also be assigned “Hoot” books and begin the novel today.

  •  Reading 7: Students will continue watching “Holes” and they will fill in the Venn Diagram sheet while watching to compare/contrast to the book.

  • Practical Literature 12: Students will continue reading Act 2 of Macbeth together. They will also complete study guide questions for Act 2.

Tuesday
  • Reading 8 (Odd): Students will take the test on poetry if they have not done so already. They will also turn in their poems today. “Hoot” books will be assigned today and we will begin reading as a class.

  • Reading 7: Students will finish watching “Holes” and they will turn in their Venn Diagrams today as well. Students will then go to room 780 to work on computers on a project for “Holes.”

  • Practical Literature 12: Students will continue reading Act 2 of Macbeth together. They will also complete study guide questions for Act 2.

Wednesday
  • Reading 8 (Even): Students will take the test on poetry if they have not done so already. They will also turn in their poems today. “Hoot” books will be assigned today and we will begin reading as a class.

  •  Reading 7: Students will work on computers in room 780 on their project for “Holes.”



  •  Practical Literature 12: Students will finish reading Act 2 of Macbeth and they will complete and discuss the study guide questions for Act 2. Students will begin to view the movie version of Act 2 of Macbeth. They will complete a Venn Diagram as they watch to compare/contrast.



 Thursday
  • Reading 8 (Odd): As a class, we will read “Hoot” together and students will complete study guide questions for each chapter of the book.

  • Reading 7: Students will work on their “Holes” project on computers in room 780.

  • Practical Literature 12: Students will take a quiz on Act 2 of Macbeth today. Students will then continue watching Act 2 of the play and they will fill in their Venn Diagram to compare/contrast to the written play.
