Monday
·         Academic English 9 – Check vocabulary definitions; review definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocab. lesson 16A. Students will also read Act 4, scene 1 and discuss the study guide questions for scene 1 in small groups.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will read Act 3, scene 4 of Hamlet together as a class with assigned parts. Students will also complete study guide questions together by discussing as a group.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will discuss notes on sexual harassment together and what can be done to help stop it in the workplace. Students will also discuss violence within the workplace by analyzing notes and completing group activities together. Students will also write a thank you letter to Cardinal Systems for the field trip last week in the computer lab.

Tuesday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will read R. and J. Act 4, scenes 2 and 3 together as a class and discuss study guide questions for these scenes together as a class.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will finish discussing study guide questions from yesterday and will finish reading Act 3 of Hamlet together as a class. Students will begin reviewing for a quiz on Act 3.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will take a quiz on appropriate workplace behavior. After the quiz, students will score their quizzes and examine how they did overall. Students will then begin the next session on substance abuse by discussing notes together as a class.

Wednesday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will be introduced to a writing assignment on Romeo and Juliet. As a class, we will discuss the expectations/requirements for the assignment and students will complete the assignment for next week. Students will also continue reading R. and J. together as a class (Act 4, scenes 4 and 5). We will finish discussing study guide questions for scenes 2 and 3 if necessary also.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will finish reviewing for the quiz on Act 3 by playing a review game together as a class. Students will also watch scenes from Act 3 of Hamlet to compare/contrast to the text of the play.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will continue to discuss notes on substance abuse together. Students will then take a quiz on the facts about prescription drug abuse. As a class, we will discuss the results of the quiz together. Students will also complete a group activity on the difference between IQ and EQ (emotional intelligence).
Thursday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will take a quiz on Vocabulary lesson 16A and then define the terms for lesson 16B. Students will also be given the worksheet to complete for lesson 16B and write sentences for this lesson on their own. When finished, students will continue discussing study guide questions from R. and J. Act 4, scenes 4 and 5 together.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will take a quiz on Act 3 of Hamlet. Students will then finish watching scenes from Act 3 together and discuss predictions for the upcoming Act of the play.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will continue to discuss notes on emotional intelligence and students will complete group activities comparing/contrasting IQ vs. EQ together.
Friday
·          Academic English 9 – Students will watch scenes from Act 4 of R. and J. in the film version to compare/contrast and discuss performance vs. reading the text of the play. Students will also review for the quiz on Act 4. Quiz will be on Tuesday on Act 4.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will begin reading Act 4 of Hamlet together as a class today and we will analyze the first scenes by discussing the study guide questions together and in small groups.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will discuss personal competence and social competence and take notes on these topics. As a class, we will also analyze case studies for these topics together and students will complete group activities together in class.
