Monday
• English 7 – Vocabulary packet – Unit 25: Review definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocab. #25; work on rough draft of complaint letter for tomorrow

• PSSA English 9/10 – Odd Day Groups – Students will complete a lesson on determining author’s purpose in the PSSA book (p. 35-40); students will also complete a lesson on determining author’s effectiveness (p. 41-46)

Tuesday
• English 7 – Students will turn in their rough draft of complaint letter; Students will begin a unit on prepositions and prepositional phrases; Notes on prepositional phrases (prepositions and objects, p. 326 -328); practice exercises in textbook and worksheet for independent practice

• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Students will complete a lesson on determining author’s purpose in the PSSA book (p. 35-40); students will also complete a lesson on determining author’s effectiveness (p. 41-46)

Wednesday
• English 7 – Jeopardy review for vocabulary unit 25; review any homework on prepositions; notes on pronouns after prepositions; practice exercises; worksheet for homework

• PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Students will complete a section in the grade 11 PSSA book to practice test-taking strategies. Students will complete p. 47-54 in the book to gain independent practice for the PSSA test on previous sections that we have studied and discussed.

Thursday
• English 7 – Quiz on vocab. Unit 25 words; Definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocabulary list 26

• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups - Students will complete a section in the grade 11 PSSA book to practice test-taking strategies. Students will complete p. 47-54 in the book to gain independent practice for the PSSA test on previous sections that we have studied and discussed.

Friday
• English 7 – Review any homework from Wednesday; practice writing address on letter to be mailed and write out envelope to be mailed to company/business; together as a class we will also discuss how a business letter should be folded correctly and placed into the envelope correctly; final copy of letter will be placed in envelope today and turned in to be mailed out; notes on adjective phrases (p. 333); practice exercises and worksheet

• PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Students will be introduced to writing a movie review. Students will view sample reviews and discuss the elements of a movie review and how it should be written; students will begin viewing a film (Dead Poet’s Society) and taking notes on the film as they watch to prepare to write a review of the film
