Monday
• English 7 – Students will turn in final copy of complaint/concern letter to be graded; students will also turn in review sentences for units 21 – 25; finish notes on adjective phrases (if needed) on page 333 in textbook; worksheet for practice with adjective phrases; review vocabulary units 21/22 by playing Jeopardy review game
• PSSA English 9/10 – Even Day Groups – Students will finish lesson 7 in the PSSA book and complete a practice test independently on pages 47-54 in the PSSA grade 11 book.
Tuesday
• English 7 – Students will receive instructions on how to address a letter correctly; letters will be placed into envelopes and addressed accordingly to be mailed out; review adjective phrases worksheet; notes on Adverb Phrases (p. 336); review game for vocab. Unit 23
• PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Students will be introduced to writing a movie review. Students will view sample reviews and discuss the elements of a movie review and how it should be written; students will begin viewing a film (Dead Poet’s Society) and taking notes on the film as they watch to prepare to write a review of the film
Wednesday
• English 7 – Finish taking notes on adverb phrases; practice worksheet for adverb phrases; review units 24 and 25 by playing a review game as a class; as a class, we will also have a mixed review for vocab. Units 21-25 in preparation for the test tomorrow
• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Students will be introduced to writing a movie review. Friday
• English 7 – Review any homework from Wednesday on adverb phrases; notes on “placing phrases correctly” and “choosing correct prepositions” and practice exercises (worksheets) for each section; begin review section for test on Prepositional Phrases on p. 350-351.
• PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Continue watching film, Dead Poets’ Society, and taking notes on the film; as a class, we will discuss some of the elements within the movie that were observed so far
