Monday
  • Academic English 8 – Continue work on verbs packet (auxiliary verbs). Verbs packet should be finished today. Auxiliary verbs quiz tomorrow. Verbs test on Thursday. (Essential Question: How do verbs function and how do we use them effectively in our spoken and written language?)

  • Academic English 7 – Vocabulary packet due today. Review exercises in packet and review for quiz on Wednesday on Unit 12 terms. (Essential Question: How do verbs function within a sentence to help us effectively communicate and how do we know when to correctly use different types of verbs?)


  •  Honors English 7 – Vocabulary packet due today. Review exercises in packet and review for quiz on Wednesday on Unit 12 terms. (Essential Question: How do verbs function within a sentence to help us effectively communicate and how do we know when to correctly use different types of verbs?)


  • Practical Literature 11 – Read Act 3 of “The Crucible” together as a class with assigned parts. Students will also complete study guide questions as we read. (Essential Question: How is the play, “The Crucible” related to our modern society and what parallels exist between the play and the “Red Scare” of the 1950s?)

  • Honors Reading 7 – Work on Reader-Writer Log sheet, novel project, LDC task essay, or AR points for marking period 3. Study for short story test. Test is tomorrow. Short story LDC task related to the big question of the unit is due on Friday (3/13). Turn in novel project tomorrow. AR points due March 20th. (Essential Question: What are the elements of short stories and how do these elements enhance short stories?)

Tuesday

Wednesday
  • Academic English 8 – Begin work on active and passive voice. Students will complete the first 2 activities in the packet. (Essential Question: How does voice affect our written and spoken language?)

  • Academic English 7 – Vocab. Quiz on unit #12. Verbs: discuss and complete practice exercises and worksheets. (Essential Question: How do verbs function within a sentence to help us effectively communicate and how do we know when to correctly use different types of verbs?)
