March 19, 2012 - March 23, 2012

Monday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will take a quiz on Vocabulary lesson 13A and then define the terms for lesson 13B. Students will also be given the worksheet to complete for lesson 13B and write sentences for this lesson on their own. Students will also finish reviewing the study guide questions for R. and J. Act 2, scenes 1 and 2. Students should also finish the Elizabethan Era essay for tomorrow.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will finish the Crucible Character scrapbook project on the ipads and upload it to dropbox to be graded. When finished, students will begin reading “The General History of Virginia” in the literature textbook.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will discuss the senior interviews from last week and interview tips to remember for future reference. Students will also begin the next session (time management) by taking notes and discussing these notes together as a class. Students will also go to the computer lab to finish the job search activity from last week.

Tuesday
·         Academic English 9 – Check vocabulary definitions; review definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocab. lesson 13B. Students will also read R. and J. Act 2, scene 3 together as a class. Students will receive the study guide for scene 3 to work on.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will upload their character scrapbooks on the ipads if they have not uploaded them yet to dropbox. Students will continue reading “The General History of Virginia” together as a class. Students will then work together in small groups to answer the discussion questions.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will continue with the time management session by discussing the notes together as a class and by completing group activities on time management.

Wednesday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will read R. and J., act 2 together as a class. Students will also review questions from yesterday’s study guide. Students will then work together in small groups to complete the study guide for the next scene.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will continue reading “The General History of Virginia” together as a class. Students will then work together in small groups to answer the discussion questions. When finished, students will begin reading “Of Plymouth Plantation” and taking notes in order to compare the two narratives.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will discuss procrastination by taking notes and discussing these notes together in a class discussion. Students will then complete the “brick by brick” activity in small groups. Students will also complete the time log activity and complete a planned weekly schedule.
Thursday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will take a quiz on Vocabulary lesson 13B and then define the terms for lesson 14A. Students will also be given the worksheet to complete for lesson 14A and write sentences for this lesson on their own.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will continue reading “Of Plymouth Plantation” and taking notes in order to compare the two narratives. When finished, students will compare and contrast the two narratives using a venn diagram.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will discuss managing priorities together as a class by discussing notes. Students will also complete the “urgency versus importance” handout. Students will discuss results together and then complete an item comparison to prioritize items.
Friday
·          Academic English 9 – Students will continue reading Romeo and Juliet together as a class. Students will also work together in small groups on the study guide questions for Act 2.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will finish the venn diagram from yesterday comparing and contrasting the two narratives. When finished, students will write out an essay comparing/contrasting the two narratives based on the diagram they completed.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will begin the next session on goal setting. Students will complete a group activity on goals and, as a class, we will discuss the results of the discussion questions. As a class, we will discuss notes on goals and students will complete the wish list activity.
