Monday - No School: Teacher In-Service Day
Tuesday
·         Academic English 9 – Check vocabulary definitions; review definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocab. lesson 11B. Students will also view Act 1, scenes 4 and 5 of Romeo and Juliet.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will review Act 3 of the play by discussing the study guide questions together as a class. Students will also compare the written play to the film version of The Crucible by watching scenes from Act 3.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will discuss the 7 types of power and will complete an activity on these types of power in groups. Students will complete a leadership activity in groups and discuss the results together as a class. Students will also discuss ethical qualities of leaders together as a class and complete an activity in groups.

Wednesday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will work in small groups on the study guide questions for scene 5. As a class, we will discuss these questions together. Students will also continue working on their “Facebook” project with their partners. We will also review Act 1 of Romeo and Juliet in preparation for a test on Friday.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will review for a quiz on Act 3 by playing a review game. Students will then work with a partner to create a character map for The Crucible.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will begin session seven in the teamwork module (generational diversity in the workplace). Students will take notes and discuss these as a class. Students will then complete an activity on “values through the years.” Students will also complete a group exercise on generations in the workplace and discuss results.
Thursday
·         Academic English 9 – Students will take a quiz on Vocabulary lesson 11B and then define the terms for lesson 12A. Students will also be given the worksheet to complete for lesson 12A and write sentences for this lesson on their own. Students will then finish the rough copy of the facebook project for R. and J.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will take a quiz on Act 3 of The Crucible. After the quiz, students will begin reading Act 4 of the play and they will also complete study guide questions on Act 4.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will begin the communication module and the first session on interpersonal communication skills. Students will take notes and discuss the topic as a class. Students will also complete the “2 truths and a lie” activity and discuss results. Students will also participate in the “lookers and runners” activity in teams.
Friday
·          Academic English 9 – Students will take a test on Act 1 of R. and J. As a class, we will also discuss the next section on verbs. Students will take notes and complete practice exercises in the textbook.

·         Practical Literature 11 – Students will continue reading Act 4 of The Crucible together as a class. Students will also work in small groups on the Act 4 study guide questions.

·         Y.E.S. - Students will begin session two on listening skills by taking notes and discussing this topic as a class. Students will also complete an activity to explore listening skills together. Students will also complete a personal analysis of listening habits and discuss personal biases and prejudices that affect listening.
