Monday
· Academic English 9 – Check vocabulary definitions; review definitions, worksheet, and sentences for vocab. lesson 3B. Discuss chapter six of Night by reviewing study guide questions.
· Practical English/Literature 11 – Prac Eng: Students will review vocab. terms for list 2 by playing a review game.
Students will also define and identify prepositional phrases and complete practice exercises for this section.
Prac Lit: Continue reading Act 4 of The Crucible and analyze Act 4 by completing study guide questions.

Tuesday
· Academic English 9 – Students will finish discussing chapter six of Night and turn in study guides. Students will read chapter seven for tomorrow for homework. In class, students will work with a partner to complete a Twitter writing assignment for Night.
· Practical English/Literature 11 – Prac. Eng: Students will define and identify verbals and verbal phrases within sentences by discussing examples and completing practice exercises. Students will take a test on vocabulary list #2.
Prac. Lit: Students will continue reading Act 4 of The Crucible and complete study guide questions together. Students will also analyze scenes in the film version of the play.
· PSSA Reading 11/12 - Analyze bias and propaganda by completing lesson 4 in the PSSA book independently.
Wednesday
· Academic English 9 – Students will review chapter seven study guide for Night by discussing in small groups and as a class. Students will finish rough copy of Twitter assignment to prepare to type on Friday.
· Practical English/Literature 11 – Prac. Eng: Students will practice identifying verbals and verbal phrases by completing worksheets and discussing these together as a class. Students will also define and identify gerunds.
Prac. Lit: Students will continue reading The Crucible together as a class (Act 4). Students will also complete study guide questions and discuss types of literary devices in Act 4.
· PSSA Reading 11/12 - No Class
Thursday
· Academic English 9 – Students will take a quiz on Vocabulary lesson 3B and then define the terms for lesson 4A. Students will also be given the worksheet to complete for lesson 4A and write sentences for this lesson on their own. Students will also finish discussing chapter 7 of Night and turn in study guides.
· Practical English/Literature 11 – Prac. Eng: Identify and define gerunds and gerund phrases by discussing examples and completing practice exercises.
Prac. Lit: Finish Act 4 of The Crucible and work on study guide questions together. Review for quiz on Act 4.
· PSSA Reading 11/12 - Analyze bias and propaganda by completing lesson 4 in the PSSA book independently. Discuss lesson 4 together. Students will begin lesson five of chapter one.
Friday
· Academic English 9 – Students will type the final copy of their Twitter assignment on computers in the Library today. Students will work with partners to complete the final copy. Students will read chapter 8 for Monday and complete study guide questions for chapter 8.
· Practical English/Literature 11 – Prac. Eng: Identify and define infinitives and infinitive phrases in sentences and complete practice worksheets.
Prac. Lit: Students will take a quiz on Act 4 of the play. Students will also discuss tragic hero within the play and analyze this by completing an activity sheet on the tragic hero.
· PSSA Reading 11/12 - No Class
