Monday
· English 7 – Review new vocabulary worksheet and sentences that were for homework for unit 8; review homework from textbook (collective and compound nouns); worksheet for homework on collective and compound nouns
· PSSA English 9/10 – Odd Day Groups – Review lessons 1-3 in chapter 2 together. Students will then use the newspaper to find one article that includes only facts and no opinions. They will summarize the article and list the facts (5 W’s). Students will then also find one article of their choice that includes both facts and opinions. Students will summarize the article and identify the facts and opinions with the article. Students will share their summaries out loud with the class.
Tuesday
· English 7 – Review homework on collective and compound nouns; notes on exact nouns; complete practice exercises as a class on exact nouns and students will complete practice exercises on their own; begin review for test on nouns unit

· PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Read an article from the New York Times titled, “The Age of Responsibility.” Students will read the article using the talking to the text method and complete the multiple choice questions and open-ended question that follows. As a class, we will discuss the article and the results for the questions about the article.
Thursday
· English 7 – Vocabulary quiz for unit87; unit 9 – definitions, worksheet, sentences
· PSSA English 9/10 - Even Day Groups – Read an article from the New York Times titled, “The Age of Responsibility.” Students will read the article using the talking to the text method and complete the multiple choice questions and open-ended question that follows. Friday
· English 7 – Review vocab. on PPT; review unit on nouns – kinds of nouns (concrete/abstract, common/proper), singular and plural, collective and compound, exact nouns, appositives, and possessive nouns; students will review the completed exercises from the book for each set of nouns as a review for the test next week
· PSSA English 9/10 - Odd Day Groups – Students will choose an article from the newspaper to read critically while taking notes using talking to the text method of note-taking. Students will then write their own multiple choice questions based on the article that they read. They will also write one open-ended question for the article. When students finish with their questions, they will exchange them with a partner and answer the questions presented about the article after reading it. As a class, we will discuss some of the articles chosen and questions that students wrote.
