use their textbook and study guide with the test.

Thursday (01/10): Textbook
– p. 306-312 (small group learning); students will work together in their small
groups to read and analyze the speech, “Words Do Not Pay” by Chief Joseph. They
will receive the study guide to work on together and must complete pages 306 –
312 and the practice worksheets for these sections by the end of class on
Monday (1/14); test on Words Do Not Pay will be Wednesday (1/16).

Friday (01/11): Work
in small groups on items in textbook for the speech that we read yesterday and
complete the practice worksheets for each section. Work on study guide to prepare
for test.
